Douglas Anderson School of the Arts has a variety of opportunities for students who are looking to enhance not only their education – but also their talents. This high school is for children who are able to work on their own without much help from the teachers or their parents. This does not mean that they will not receive any help from the school faculty – but that they should be able to handle most things on their own.
Some of the extracurricular activities that they offer include writing, theatre, and other areas in the arts. A majority of the children are motivated and will learn much as well as make new friends.
The teachers are very dedicated and seem to be able to give pertinent information and direction to students. This school is for those who are interested in pursuing ARTS, not sports. The students here have auditioned and excelled in academics before attending. This certainly weeds out students who are not dedicated to a particular arts field or academics. These factors create a safe and pleasant environment for learning to take place.
